04 Aug U.S. Coast Guard Birthday
Happy Birthday to the United States Coast Guard!
The Coast Guard celebrates its 235th birthday today. Established on August 4th, 1790, Alexander Hamilton, the Secretary of the Treasury, ordered ten vessels be constructed to combat smuggling and enforce tariff laws. Since then, the Coast Guard has kept our Nation’s waterways safe, slaying a critical role in national security.
Every Coast Guardsman embraces the values of honor, respect, and devotion to duty, and we thank them for their diligence. The Coast Guard’s mission is to protect the public, the environment, and U.S. economic interests in the Nation’s waterways, along the coast, on international water, or in any maritime region in support of national security.
Zeiders is proud to celebrate the Coast Guard’s birthday and are especially proud of our employees with Coast Guard affiliations such as Veterans, spouses, children, or parents. Thank you for living everyday Semper Paratus, Always Ready.
Happy Birthday Coast Guard!
