November is Warrior Care Month

Celebrating Warrior Care Month - 2026

Observed each November, Warrior Care Month highlights the importance of supporting wounded, ill, and injured service members, as well as their families. Established by the Department of Defense in 2008, this observance serves as an opportunity to increase awareness of the programs, resources, and services available to assist warriors throughout their recovery and transition journeys.

Warrior Care focuses on helping service members achieve their goals through comprehensive support that promotes healing, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration. Whether returning to military service or transitioning to civilian life, wounded warriors benefit from a network of resources designed to address their physical, emotional, and family needs while fostering resilience and long-term well-being.

Although support for our warriors remains a year-round priority, Warrior Care Month provides a dedicated time to recognize their strength, raise awareness of available resources, and celebrate the organizations and professionals committed to their care. Services such as medical treatment, behavioral health support, family assistance programs, and adaptive recovery initiatives play an important role in improving the lives of those who have served our nation.
