13 Dec National Guard Birthday
Join us in celebrating the United States National Guard Birthday!
On December 13th, we recognize the birthday of the National Guard. On this date in 1636, the first militia regiments in North America were organized in Massachusetts by ordering all able-bodied men between 16 and 60 years old to create an Army for protection. The purpose was to establish an army compromised of citizens who could be called upon in the event of a threat.
The National Guard not only serves as the foundation of support for our armed forces, but as an active protector of our country. Our National Guard has gone through extensive training to be prepared to respond to crises. From state and national level crises to natural and man-made disasters, to national emergencies, our national guard continues to exceptionally serve this country.
At Zeiders, we would like to dedicate this day to honoring the members of our National Guard. Their efforts continue to keep our country secure in times of need. We pay tribute and thank the brave men and women who give their time and effort to protecting us and commit to being Always Ready, Always There.
Happy 388th Birthday to the National Guard!
