18 Sep Happy 79th Birthday to the United States Air Force!

Established as an independent branch in 1947, the U.S. Air Force was created after the decades of serving under the Army. The importance of air power became increasingly clear during World War I, and by the end of World War II, the need for a separate air service was undeniable. Since then, the Air Force has played a vital role in protecting our nation through strategic operations, tactical missions, and global defense efforts. 

The development of military aviation transformed the way wars were fought, allowing forces to reach and respond to threats with unprecedented speed and range. Between the two World Wars, aviation programs expanded rapidly, and by World War II, air operations had become an essential component of military success. 

Today, Zeiders proudly recognizes the Air Force’s commitment to innovation, service, and excellence while honoring the individuals who dedicate themselves to protecting our country from the skies. Many members of the Zeiders community have meaningful connections to the Air Force.
