April is sexual assault awareness month. Sexual violence can affect anyone regardless of age, gender, background, or community. The numbers are staggering, with 81% of women and 43% of men reporting experiencing sexual harassment or assault in their lifetime. Even more alarming, every 9 minutes, a child is sexually assaulted in the US. However, many assaults go unreported, and far too few perpetrators are held accountable. Together, we can change this.
