On December 20, 2019, the United States Space Force was officially established as the newest branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. Now celebrating its 6th birthday, the Space Force continues to grow and evolve as a vital component of national defense, dedicated to protecting U.S. interests in the space domain.

Though it is the smallest military branch, with over 8,000 Guardians and 77 spacecraft, the Space Force plays a critical role in global operations. From satellite communication and missile warning systems to space surveillance and orbital defense, this branch is responsible for maintaining the military’s competitive edge in an increasingly complex and contested space environment.
