Happy 251st Birthday to the United States Army! 

Since its founding by the Continental Congress in 1775, the United States Army has stood as a steadfast symbol of strength, discipline, and unwavering service to the nation. From the Revolutionary War to today’s complex global missions, the Army has continuously adapted to meet new challenges while remaining rooted in its core mission: to defend the United States and its values, both at home and abroad. 

For over two and a half centuries, generations of Soldiers have answered the call to serve with courage and resolve. Their commitment has been tested in times of war and peace alike, across battlefields, humanitarian missions, and moments of crisis where their presence has brought stability, hope, and relief. Alongside them, Army families have made their own quiet but profound sacrifices, providing strength on the home front and sustaining the force through every deployment and transition. 

Today, we also honor the enduring legacy of veterans whose service continues to shape the Army’s proud tradition. Their experiences and leadership help guide future generations, ensuring that the values of loyalty, duty, respect, selfless service, honor, integrity, and personal courage remain at the heart of everything the Army represents. 

On this special anniversary, we recognize and express our deepest gratitude to the Soldiers of the United States Army, Army National Guard, and Army Reserve. Your dedication reflects the very best of our nation, and your service safeguards the freedoms we all depend on.
