Happy Labor Day!

Black wooden background with small American flags on right side, text reads Happy Labor DayToday we celebrate the hard work and dedication to the social and economic achievements of our fellow-Americans to the prosperity and well-being of our country. It was created by the labor movement in the late 19th century and became a federal holiday in 1894.

Labor Day came about because workers felt they were spending too many hours and days on the job. The founders were looking for two things: a means of unifying union workers and a reduction in work time.

As we celebrate with fireworks, parades, and picnics, we keep in mind those serving our nation; Service members, Veterans, family members, and friends.

Happy Labor Day!
