Zeiders in the Community
The Quality of Life Foundation, through its “Wounded Veteran Family Care Program,” focuses on meeting quality of life needs of caregivers and minor children of a veteran who, while on active duty, became so ill, wounded or injured, he/she now requires a lifetime caregiver. Family caregivers often lose their job and spend their life savings to maintain their home and continue caring for other family members while sacrificing their personal goals to care for their loved one.
Regardless of the nature of the wound, injury or illness – or the timing of the effects – the Quality of Life Foundation provides each family a Family Support Coordinator who works with them one-on-one to build a trust relationship, to learn their unique situation, and then develop a tailored response to their needs. They endeavor to leverage resources available through Government programs, local or national businesses and/or community organizations along with using an “Unmet Needs Fund” to assist with needed goods or services. Zeiders is pleased to expand our support of military families through the MSEP. Participation in this program enables us to identify and hire military spouses who have a deep understanding of the community we serve, and combine a passion for service with the performance for mission success. Over 70% of Zeiders employees have a first-hand connection to the military and nearly 40% are military spouses. Learn more about MSEP and how they help military spouses.
“On behalf of the Department of Defense and the Partners, I would like to welcome Zeiders Enterprises to the Military Spouse Employment Partnership (MSEP)… The Department of Defense strives to increase career opportunities for military spouses by partnering with organizations that offer vast career options, portability assurance and equivalent salaries to their civilian counterparts.”
