National Professional Social Work Month is an opportunity for social workers across the country to turn the spotlight on their profession. Social workers stand up for millions of people every day making invaluable contributions to society. These include helping people who are experiencing devastating illnesses and mental health crises, our veterans, children, families and communities.
Today, there are nearly 650,000 social workers serving millions of clients every day. Social workers stand up by comforting people who are experiencing devastating illnesses and mental health crises, ensuring they get the best care while on the road to recovery. They stand up and support our brave military personnel, veterans and their families. They work in communities and with national, state and local government to provide services and pass legislation to stand with and help the most vulnerable.
Social workers, with other behavioral health professionals in our Zeiders family aim to bring positive change to the lives of Service members, Veterans, and their families, and offer multiple support programs. Zeiders recognizes the valuable services provided every day and thanks our Social Workers, Educators, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Licensed Professional Counselors who provide services to those impacted by the challenges of military life.
