Operating a Business
Entrepreneurship, The Art of Succeeding in Business contains four sections that will progressively help you understand the challenges and opportunities associated with starting a business.
The third section of Entrepreneurship, The Art of Succeeding in Business is a series of practical discussions of issues related to operating a business including:
Selecting
a business structure,
Licenses,
taxes, and accounting,
Business
reading,
Communication
and feedback, and
Persuasive
business writing.
These are optional topics that can be incorporated into the class based on student interest and available time. These topics should be presented concurrently with the development of the business plan. The reading, communication, and writing material can enhance the students’ ability to write the business plan. For this reason, the Sample Course Schedule recommends that they be covered early in the course.
