Communication and Feedback

 

Goals:

  • Understand each element of the Communication Model (sender, message, medium, receiver, filters, and feedback)
  • Understand verbal and non-verbal communication
  • Understand one-way and two-way communication
  • Understand the Six Guidelines for Effective Communication
  • Understand and practice two forms of constructive feedback (message and content)

 

Skills:

  • Identify communication model elements in real communication situations
  • Utilize Six Guidelines for Effective Communication to enhance communication effectiveness
  • Provide message and content constructive feedback to other students

 

Overview:

Communication is an integral part of our daily activity. Every person requires a basic understanding of how the communication process works, especially entrepreneurs who must communicate clearly with investors, employees, suppliers, and clients.

Chapter 6 introduces students to the primary elements of the communication process and presents Six Guidelines of Effective Communication that will help them communicate more effectively in any situation, including family, social, and business settings.
