Michael
D. Zeiders is the founder and president of Zeiders Enterprises, Inc. (ZEI).
Since 1984, ZEI has provided a variety of family support program and management
services for Government and industry.
ZEI has earned the U. S. Small Business Administration’s Administrator’s Award for Excellence and twice has been selected by INC. magazine as one of America’s fastest growing privately held companies. In the September 1992 issue of INC., ZEI was highlighted in a cover story on Bootstrapping as one of Ten Great Companies That Were Started With $1,000 Or Less. In 1997, Mr. Zeiders was selected as a state finalist for the Virginia Entrepreneur of the Year award and in 1998 and 1999 ZEI was selected by the Virginia Chamber of Commerce as a Fantastic 50 recipient.
Mr. Zeiders graduated with distinction from the U. S. Naval Academy and was the 1975 recipient of the Operations Research Society of America Award. In 1984 he was awarded a Master’s degree in Business Administration from George Mason University.
Mr. Zeiders has been involved in educational programs throughout his professional career. While on active duty in the Navy, he taught accredited adult high school classes onboard ship to sailors. As a Navy Human Resource Management Specialist, Mr. Zeiders developed and conducted management training programs for Naval officers and enlisted personnel. For four years, he taught audio recording technology courses at Northern Virginia Community College and served on the Department’s Academic Advisory Committee. Mr. Zeiders has been actively involved in developing Entrepreneurship, The Art of Succeeding in Business since 1994.
Mr. Zeiders serves on the Northern Virginia Workforce Investment Board and the Board of Directors for the Prince William County Public Schools Education Foundation. He and his wife Charlotte have three sons.
